What you should consider as you engage with an ActionCOCACH Business Coach

If you are considering taking on a Business Coach to assist you in taking your business to the next level of success, there are two main assets you need to possess in order to achieve the outcome you desire.

Commitment
If you are not 100% committed to working with your ActionCOACH and the program mutually agreed on, there is very little chance of obtaining the sustainable success you and your business want to achieve.  This commitment comes in different forms:

  1. Being Coached
You must have a positive, open-minded attitude that will allow you to take direction and actually be coached.  An ActionCOACH Business Coach will be your unreasonable friend.  He/She will not only push you out of your comfort zone, but he/she will also drive you to redefine your dreams, vision and goals, then develop strategies and build specific plans to achieve those goals.  On top of this, he/she will hold you accountable for implementation. As former USA Professional Football coach Tom Laundry said, “A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can become who you‘ve always known you can be”.
  1. Continuous learning
At ActionCOACH we have a mantra of Learn to Earn.  You must have an appetite to continuously learn new skills, processes and methodologies that will enhance you personally as well as your team members and business in general.  This is critically important in these fast-paced and turbulent times.
  1. Working On your Business
A majority of business owners are so busy working IN their business that they never devote time to the important aspect of working ON their business.  Spending time on developing a strategic blueprint for the future of the business is vital now more than ever.  You will be expected to put in 4-6 hours per week on completing and implementing the key priorities agreed on with your coach.

Resources to sustain your coaching investment
Working with an ActionCOACH Business Coach is an Investment, not a Cost.  In order for you to achieve a Return on Investment (ROI), you must have the financial and time resources available in order to:

  1. Continue the coaching program for at least 12 months
Depending on the maturity and challenges of your business, it may take time to substantially increase the cash position or decrease the number of hours you work in your business.  Your ActionCOACH Business Coach will work with you to identify and implement any priorities and quick wins in these areas to ease the burden.
  1. Afford to implement the strategies and action plans agreed on
Laying a solid foundation for your business will take time, effort and finances.  Once it is done though, you will be in a position to take advantage of all of the opportunities identified and reap the rewards of increasing profits, having a high performing team and more time to spend with your family, friends and on developing yourself.
