More from Naaheed on her coaching and business journey:
“I think something that has changed for me is my mindset. I initially thought that I have ‘a’ business, not thinking that it is a real business that can grow into something that I can eventually maybe franchise.”

SkinTECH’s Business Journey Timeline:

Where it began:
For Naaheed becoming a part of SkinTECH was a fluke! She was meant to enrol for masters and graduate as a clinical psychologist, but after honours, she was helping her father and Lagway Trading. They then found a niche in the dermatology market, that all started with one product: MediPatch (your favourite acne plaster!). Lagway Trading rebranded as SkinTECH in 2013 and they haven’t looked back since.

Getting an ActionCOACH:
Naaheed started coaching with ActionCOACH Trevor Clark in April 2021. She decided to start coaching with Trevor because she was in the process of transitioning into being the primary owner. Her father had loosened the reins and she wanted to prove to herself that she could continue to grow what he had built. She needed someone in her corner to guide her on business and knew she found the right person when she met Trevor.

Business Milestones:
- Naaheed has become more open to collaborating and networking.
- She found her current technicians through ActionCOACH.
- She has made connections with like minded business owners; that was something she felt was always lacking for her.
- She has transitioned into using Xero bookkeeping software.
- She now has positional contracts prepared for key roles in her business.
- She now understands the importance of testing and measuring everything in her business. The numbers add up.

Personal Moments:
She realised that she is a business owner already. She changed her thinking from ‘I’m working at my job’ to ‘How am I going to grow my business and increase my profits?’. She also feels that she has improved her focus on her business and how she interacts with her staff.

Where to next:
She would like to expand and plans to relocate to larger premises with a showroom and facilities for workshops.
